DOG FRIENDLY AMENITIES
It's All About Comfort!
Each private guest room has a custom built dog bed and all the fixins that are needed for a comfortable visit. Well behaved dogs are welcome throughout the inn, even at breakfast. Going out for the day or night without your dogs? No problem! Our devoted staff lovingly provides various "dog services" in Mario's Playhouse which is open to you at any time. There is no extra charge. All of these services are included in your room rate.
Mario's Playhouse - Our On-Site Dog Facility
Going out for the day without your tail wagger? Wanting a romantic dinner sans fido? Mario's Playhouse is our on-site doggie facility that is available exclusively as a courtesy for overnight guests who wish to explore Vermont and leave their dogs in our care. In the Playhouse each family has a large PRIVATE indoor and climate controlled space that is large enough to comfortably accommodate three large dogs from the same family. Use of the Playhouse is available 24/7. From 10am - 4pm we are happy to love, walk, and play with your dog(s). (It is our favorite part of the day.) All other hours, we check on all doggies but do not take them out.
We provide customized services to accommodate your dogs(s) temperament.
Upon making a reservation you will receive a personal email to provide provide us with de'tailed' information about your dog{s}. We will only socialize your dog(s) with your permission. In the evenings Mario's Playhouse is the pawfect place to provide a safe and comfortable environment. We ask you to bring a comfortable bed or blanket for your dog, a water bowl, a food bowl, your own food, and toys. If you forget anything, we are happy to supply it.
Diggins Dog Park
Situated in our beautiful backyard, our off-leash park has dimensions about half the size of a football field and is completely fenced-in. The park is home to dog-centric activities such as picnicking, dog agility, playtime, and general romping. The park is easily accessed from the inn and the Playhouse. Guests are welcome to utilize Paw House Park at any time, day or night.
Breakfast
Breakfast at The Paw House Inn is our favorite time of day. Guests linger over fresh-brewed coffee and enjoy warm, out-of-the-oven muffins. A healthy fruit salad accompanies the main course, which may include our savory, signature omelets or home made "wooffles" drizzled with Vermont maple syrup. Whenever possible, we use local fresh produce. And with a little notice, we are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free and vegan. Breakfast for cottage visitors is available for a small cost each morning. Breakfast is included in the room rate for guests of the inn. All well-behaved dogs are welcome too!
E-menities
One of our biggest pet peeves (funny pun) when traveling is having to pay for wifi. At The Paw House Inn we offer free wifi! And one of our favorite things to do when relaxing is to catch up with movies and back episodes of tv shows. So most of our rooms are now equipped with smart tvs or Roku TVs. Now you can use the free wifi to help plan your daily adventure and then come home to the Inn and unwind with past episodes of Outlander (or whatever your current binge may be). Additionally all rooms are equipped with individual thermostats to control temperature in every season.
Vet Services
One service we hope you never need is a vet. However, in the event of an emergency, we are very fortunate to have two excellent and extremely compassionate local vets on call.
