Vermont Winter Outdoor Activities
When It Snows
We moved to the Killington region because it has the best skiing on the east coast. But, oh my, the adventures are hardly limited to the hill. Beginning with the world class skiing and riding, below is a taste of the wide range of winter activities that are all easily accessed from our inn. Enjoy!
Downhill Skiing and Riding
Only a short drive to the slopes, we have been known to provide an ideal solution for dog lovers who love to downhill ski and ride. As our guests, you can enjoy a day on the hill while your pup is cared for in Mario’s Bunkhouse. Ski and ride guilt free and come home to your best friend who just might be more tired than you after a fun romp in Diggins’ Paw House Park.
Killington (25 minutes)
Pico (20 minutes)
Okemo (30 minutes)
Cross Country Skiing
The Green Mountain State offers a variety of nordic skiing opportunities. For new and experienced skiers alike - and we are more than happy to share them all!
Mountain Top Inn has groomed trails and rentals. If you are looking for more adventure, several of the golf courses, rail trails and VAST trails are ideal. And if you are really adventurous, we would be happy to direct you to some of our secret places!🤫
Tubing and Sledding
Vermont is VERY HILLY!!
Snow tubing is available at both adventure centers within Killington and Okemo. Bring your own sleds and you will find ample sledding opportunities throughout the area, including Rutland Country Club.
